FROM AN ADULT PLAYER - I can't tell you how many years it's been since I've had this much fun. The players are great and I can play without the fear of some idiot who thinks he's still going to 'the show' running me over. I've made some great new friends and I've told all the guys at work they need to sign up next year. I'll be back with a lot of friends!

FROM AN ADULT PLAYER - I work for the Ontario Provincial Police. I've played hockey for only about a year now, and consider myself to be around the middle of the pack in your league. I am generally happy with how the
league is being administered. Some of the things I enjoy are your organizational practices - how well prepared you are every game and how the website is maintained. I also like how the refs seem to hurry on behalf of the players - to ensure optimal playing time. I know that this is the first season of this league, and you're doing a wonderful job so far. Its good that your flexible enough to ask for
suggestions that would evolve to something even better. I thank you for reading these suggestions and for all of the work you continue to do.

FROM AN ADULT PLAYER - I want too be sure I don't miss a game...thanks for encouraging me to join the league this year. I got off to a rockey start, but I feel I am improving a bit each week and the guys have all been very understanding and helpful as I learn and grow as a first time player. It has been a blast!

FROM THE FATHER OF A PLAYER My son played his first game Sunday, he tells me he had a great time. He loves the "pond hockey" format. Also, compliments to the refs. They kept it fun. They seemed to be there to have fun as well. Great job! Can't wait for the next game.

I hope you extend this league to the winter as well.

FROM AN ADULT PLAYER - 2 games (a week) isn't enough. If it was possible to play 3 every week for more money, I would pay! The experience of actually playing ice hockey for the first time has been a blast, I'm getting better every game.

FROM AN ADULT PLAYER -Thank you for starting this league in London. I think it's a great concept and I am having a blast playing in it. I like the fun atmosphere of the games.

FROM THE FATHER OF A PLAYER - I can't believe how much fun my son is having. He played 3 on 3 last year and we (several parents on the team) found that it made the players very selfish. The 2 best players never passed and the rest of the kids became frustrated. 3 on 3, in my opinion is a great tournament type game, but it is not conducive to improving the play of the average players. He, and we, absolutely loved your concept and it let him develop as a player, where 3 on 3 just helped his skating.

A Letter from the President

Hockey, it's the greatest game in the world but lately all we seem to hear about is kids or parents suing coaches, politics, crazed parents beating up coaches and referees and more politics.

It seems the game is no longer about fun, hanging out with friends or the sheer challenge of the game itself. It's become a game of intimidation, screaming ‘fans’ and trying to hurt your competition.

At the Just For Fun Hockey League, we'd like to bring everyone back to hockey at it's simplest level where there is enjoyable competition, everyone wants to play the game for the right reasons and all players are given an equal chance. We want everyone involved with the JFFHL to want to come to the rink, and play each game without fear.

Most adults can remember playing hockey with ‘the gang’ be it on an outdoor rink or late at night at the local arena. It was sticks in the middle, and “game on”. Everyone was there to have fun and the score wasn't that important, although bragging rights until the next week were always nice! Those were the best times to play this game, no pressure, no fear and great friendships were made. We have been VERY pleased with JFFHL. The communication has been great and our son has enjoyed his time. (the above being his only frustration). Thanks for all the time you put into it.

Our mission is to bring hockey back to that level, while making it organized and structured. In short, were offering organized shinny, with a twist and computerized organization.

If you want good clean competition and fun; we have the league for you. Even if you're a highly skilled player and enjoy friendly competition, we'll most likely appeal to your taste as well.
